Art began his career in the financial services industry in 1977 as an insurance agent for MetLife®. In 1985, while serving as Vice President and Trust Officer for the Old Stone Bank, he earned the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®). After leaving Old Stone Bank, Art served as the Specialist for Estate and Financial Planning at the Guardian Life Insurance Agency in Rhode Island.
In 1992 with a desire to offer clients a better way to achieve financial success, Art co-founded Wealth Management Resources, Inc., which was established as a Registered Investment Advisory firm, making it a fiduciary with an obligation to always place clients’ interests above its own. This belief in serving as a fiduciary remains core to Art’s practice and the Firm’s culture.
Art serves our broker-dealer customers as a Registered Representative and our investment advisory customers as an Investment Advisor Representative.
Art’s active role in professional and community associations spans many years. He has served as president of the RI Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning, president of the RI Chapter of the Society for Financial Planning Professionals and board member of the Planned Giving Council of RI. He has served as a trustee for the RI Self-Sufficiency Trust and the professional advisory committee for the Rhode Island Foundation.
Arthur was a member of the faculty of Bryant University’s Executive Development Center, teaching both the Insurance & Risk Management and Estate Planning courses for the Certified Financial Planner™ program. He has written and lectured on various financial topics and has appeared on TV news programs as a personal finance expert.
